New London County Mutual (NLC) is a small regional insurer that has been providing customer service to Southern New England since 1826. They offer a broad coverage with a range of products including personal insurance policies including homeowners, rental houses, automobiles, and umbrella insurance in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island through local independent agents.

In 2010, NLC entered into an agreement with Hingham group, affiliating four mutual companies in the New England area which resulted in expanding the group's overall reach to cover each of the New England states. NLC, while part of the Hingham group, serves two states for auto insurance and three for homeowners insurance.
