Who is Encova Insurance?
Motorists Insurance Group and Brickstreet Insurance have merged and rebranded under the name Encova Insurance. By becoming one company, they combine their insights and expand their product offerings, giving consumers a broader range of insurance solutions. Encova sells insurance products through 17,000 independent agents at more than 2,000 agencies in the Midwest, Northeast, and Southern United States. They are now headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, but its agents and agencies are located in 28 states and Washington, D.C.
Motorists Insurance Group and Brickstreet first became affiliated in 2017. For two years, the companies integrated and officially became Encova Insurance in July of 2019. Their combined industry experience is going to help them to emerge as a top provider for insurance.
Motorists Mutual was established in 1928 and is built on the philosophy to put its policyholders first. Brickstreet launched January 1, 2006, as West Virginia's first private workers' compensation carrier. Both companies sold insurance products only through independent insurance agents, a tactic that has transferred to Encova as well. Of course, many consumers want to know if they're really getting better policies and service or just a larger company.
