AAA Car, Home & Renters Insurance: Ratings, Coverage & Roadside Assistance

The American Automobile Association (AAA) is one of the most trusted and most familiar names in insurance. AAA has been around since 1902, when nine auto clubs met and formed the first national motoring organization in the United States. At that time, there were only 23,000 cars in operation in the U.S., compared with more than 17 million horses! AAA was formed with 1,500 members; today, AAA has more than 58 million members in the U.S. and Canada. The company has come a long way since its founding more than 100 years ago, but AAA's most basic premise remains the same: safe, efficient transportation is a fundamental underpinning of our society.

AAA is perhaps best known for its roadside assistance, but the company offers a variety of insurance coverages. AAA aims to make life easier by offering insurance coverage to help you and your family stay secure.

What discounts does AAA offer?

AAA Membership is known for giving you access to discounts for various stores and services. AAA does offer discounts on its insurance policies, too, such as multi-policy, multi-vehicle, loyalty and good driver driver discounts. All AAA insurance is personalized through regional clubs, which can provide more details on the specific discounts available.
