women in tech press release

North Andover, Mass. — April 3, 2019Clearsurance, the only customer first, online marketplace where consumers find the best rated insurance companies and products, announced today that the ability to rate and review insurance agents is now live.

Clearsurance began receiving customer reviews of car, homeowners and renters insurance companies in December 2016 and will now begin collecting consumer reviews and ratings of insurance agents. The project has been in beta with two insurance companies since earlier this year. In its initial launch, Clearsurance has more than 550 agent profiles live on its platform.

With the addition of agents, Clearsurance is the only site that ties insurance agents, insurance carrier brands, and third party sellers together on one domain. With about 40 percent of consumers buying insurance through an agent, this rounds out the buying process for shoppers using Clearsurance.

“Now consumers can view the insurance companies that agents represent alongside their ratings to make more informed purchasing decisions,” said Clearsurance Founder & CEO, Michael Crowe.

Clearsurance has created a unique and one of a kind customer experience for insurance consumers to research, shop, and buy insurance without being steered or directed to proprietary insurance brands. More than 102,000 users have submitted over 130,000 reviews on more than 500 insurance companies.

“The introduction of agents on Clearsurance will not only enhance our visitors’ experience, but also provide more visibility for agents and create a broader distribution opportunity for carriers with agent networks,” said Chief Growth Officer & GM, Tim Hey.

Agents interested in learning more about having a profile page on the Clearsurance platform can visit the website for insurance agent registration or email agent.info@clearsurance.com.

Carriers interested in learning more about the agent program on Clearsurance can email sales@clearsurance.com for more information.
